William Albert Primeau
September 17, 1932 – March 21, 2026
William Albert Primeau, age 93, of Oscoda, Michigan, passed away on March 21, 2026, at home surrounded by his family. Born on September 17, 1932, in New Boston, Michigan, he was the son of Elsie Amelia Wilkening-Primeau and Dolor J. Primeau.
William proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. After his service, he went on to work for RPI Inc., where he dedicated 42 years before retiring in 2006. He was also an active member of the American Legion and worked maintenance from 2008 to 2021.
William married the love of his life, Karen M. Primeau, on September 26, 1958, in Port Huron. Together they built a life centered around family and hard work, where he took great pride in his yard and garden.
He is survived by his son, William Primeau of Oscoda; daughter, Mary (Chris) LaLone of Sanford; and sister, LaVirne Bender of Battle Creek. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen M. Primeau (November 14, 2012); two daughters, Kimberlee M. Primeau (October 24, 2020) and Tammy M. Whitcher (December 5, 2022); and siblings, John, Lorraine, Delore, Ed, Marian, and Luella.
William will be remembered for his service, his commitment to his family, his jokes, and his strength and resilience.
