Robert Lee Alexander Jr.

Robert Lee Alexander Jr. “Bob”, age 79, passed away peacefully at Select Care Covenant in Saginaw, Michigan on March 28, 2026. He was born May 20, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Robert Lee Alexander Sr. and Bessie I. Summerfield. 

Robert joined the U.S. Army in March 1967 and met his wife, Susan Kay Reamer at the local A & W, after his discharge. They were married in July 1970 in Vassar. Settling in Caro, Robert started work at the Vassar Foundry, after many years, he moved to other lines of work. He loved DJing with Les, which opened up lots of doors for them, from bars to weddings. Bob and Sue were members of the Eagles in Caro for many years before her passing. After many years and adventures, he finally landed at his life-long dream, Alexander’s Bait and Tackle. Bob enjoyed being outside, gardening, hunting, camping and fishing were many of his hobbies. 

Robert is survived by his sister, Beverly Kerkau-Toledo of Weidman, his children, Ronda Griffith of Colorado Springs, Tabitha Alexander of Flint and Les Alexander of Sebewaing. His five granddaughters, Darion (Jake) Marrs of Flushing, Maiya Griffith of Colorado Springs, Courtney Hartman of Caro, Alexis Hartman of Flint and Marissa Griffith of Colorado Springs, and a great grandson Jasper Marrs of Flushing. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie, his wife of 35 years, Susan (Sue) Alexander, his sister, Joan Huizar and brother, James Alexander. 

The family asked in lieu of flowers those wishing to express sympathy are invited to send cards and memorials directly to the family.
