Obituary of Scott Alan Hanson

Scott Alan Hanson of Midland, MI, age 58, went home to be with Jesus, on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Nottingham Place in Midland. He was born on July 30, 1963 at the Midland hospital.

Scott was a Journeyman Pipefitter for UA Local #85 Plumbers and Pipefitters for over 30 years. Scott loved to fish, hunt, ride snowmobiles and motorcycles, and was a great cook, but his specialty was fish fries.  He also loved attending motocross races at Red Bud Motocross Park, and enjoyed NASCAR racing.  He played Pool in local leagues.  He was a member of both Fraternal Order of Eagles and Moose in Sanford.

He is survived by his parents, Sue and Jerry Hanson; a daughter, Geri Ann Hanson; brothers Gerry (Judy) Hanson, John (Beth) Hanson, and Joe (Becky) Hanson.  He is survived by a special relative Aunt Margaret Benjamin.  Scott leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind Carrie (David) West, many special friends, especially Marietta Tripp.

Special thanks to American’s Hospice Care, who cared for him during his last few days.
