Obituary of Donald Norris Smith

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Smith age 59 who left us on February 20, 2025. Born on December 21, 1965 in Bay City Michigan. Don was a beloved brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. He touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering desire to help others.

    Don was known for his selflessness, especially in his volunteered work at the local hospital where he dedicated countless of ours to helping those in need. Though he did not have children of his own, playing an integral role and their lives and offering them guidance, care and love. 

    He is survived by his twin brother Ronald Smith (Ardis) with whom he shared a close and inseparable bond throughout their lives. He is also survived by his brother DJ and his many nieces and nephews. Jody, Jr, Shaun (Emily), Kayla (Ben), David, Tony, Jason, Misty, Brian and Amy. And his great nieces and nephews Jordan, Shaylyn, Mykenzie, Alex, Nathan, Harmoni, Alyssa, Benny, Jaydon, Alexia, Aubriella and Paisley.

     Don was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his sister, Sandy; brother, Kenny; niece Sarah; and nephew, Mason- who was a deep part of his family. 

     Don had many dear friends whom he considered family and who will greatly miss his warmth and companionship. Special thanks to his niece Jody who cared for him with love and devotion in his final years.
