Jerry, you were such a special person the love of my life and you mean the world to me. Sometimes you were rough & gruff and at other times you were tender, caring & loving. You were my best friend and partner, companion and lover.
I was so proud to have you by my side and call you my husband. You are missed so greatly and loved so deeply. Thank you for all of the memories that we made together for the 59 wonderful years we were together, 55 1/2 years in marriage, along with our 2 beautiful children, 7 Grandchildren, and 3 great Grandchildren.
Thank you for saving 2 of our Grandchildren's lives, Derek when he was choking and you had to do the Heimlich on him and then on Faith when you resuscitated her and saved her life from drowning.
I miss your touch and your laughter, the way we would hold each other and talk long into the night. You holding my hand. The way that you would hold me when we danced together. Your hugs and kisses made me feel so loved. I even miss the teasing when you would blow on the back of my neck and it drove me nuts and you would just chuckle and laugh.
I miss our talks as we could talk about anything and everything and you were my greatest confidant.
You were such a gifted writer as you wrote the most beautiful words in your cards and letters. I will cherish those forever.
You are my special angel and will always be in my heart.
I will not say goodbye but I will see you later, until we meet again and walk through those golden streets of heaven, hand in hand.
I will love you forever and ever.

Today the world got a little quieter. We lost one of the greatest men I’ve had the honor to call my Father-in-
law for the last 25 years. He was the life of the party, a friend to everyone, the greatest dad and grandpa,
and the #1 “Dad” joke teller! I will cherish all the memories I have with him for the rest of my life, but the
one I will cherish the most comes from the worst day and greatest day I have experienced...the day he
saved my daughters life, Faith is here on this earth today because of him...you could say he saved both of
our lives that day! Today Heaven got a little louder...I can hear him telling his jokes to all the angels
now...

Mark my kids and I have many memories with this great guy and his family! We hung out almost
every weekend in the summer with him and his family enjoying boating, bomb fires and Sunday
dinners ! He was a great guy inside and out and would do anything for anyone at any time no matter
what he was doing. Back in the day when he was working, he and Mark would share plumbing stories
and hunting stories at Warren Creek Hunt club .He sure did know a lot about plumbing and the
outdoors .He was just an all around great guy! He will truly be missed, and we loved him very much!

He was the best big brother anybody would be proud to have!! He was always working on his
cars and driving them up and down woodward. We lost our dad too young and at the worst time
of the year,Christmas. I’m not sure but I’m guessing he and Richard and others got all my dad’s
Christmas gifts gone from under the Christmas Tree, so we could have Christmas Eve without
to much drama to the younger family members!! I will remember Jerry the most for stepping up
and saying he would be proud to walk me down the aisle at my wedding, as my surrogate father
and dancing with me for the father/daughter dance at the reception.
I loved to watch him and Carol dance at different occasions, they were always such good
dancers, I was jealous of how coordinated they moved to the music!!
I will miss not having him down the street if we needed extra help with anything- he was always
a phone call away. Love and miss you forever.

make sure I was hanging strong when Doug was hospitalized and would go pick up food from
Applebees so he knew I was eating something. After Doug passed, you both were always there
to support me!

To my son-in-law (Jerry) words cannot begin to express the pain we have suffered since you left us. We have so many wonderful memories of our trips we were on together, so many times Carol and I didn't know if we should run or wait and laugh with you and Don as you two together could always come up with something funny, especially the trip to Pigeon Forge where we had such fun and lots of laughter. I have so many sleepless nights where I just lay and think of all the good times we had and then I cry myself to sleep. Don often talks of all the work you helped him do that no one else helped with but Jeff.
However it is goodnight Jerry but I'm looking forward to seeing you in the morning where we can walk in streets of Gold together and praise our Lord Jesus.
We loved you very much since 1966 when you started dating our daughter and then married your lifelong sweetheart in 1969. That day you became my son and also for the 2 brilliant and loving Grand children.

After having us 4 girls, when Jerry was born our dad finally got the boy he always wanted.
The day in my life I will never forget my brother is my first date with Chuck. Chuck came to pick me up at our parents' house. Jerry was in the back yard working on his Volkswagen. Chuck went to see what Jerry was doing. All of a sudden, the THOMSON TEMPER kicked in. Jerry took his hammer and smashed out both of the headlights. Chuck and I have been together for 55 years, so I guess Jerry did not scare him away.
Jerry was a very caring brother. The numerous times I have been in the hospital or laid up at home. He would call to see how I was doing. Jerry and Carol came to visit me every one of my hospital stays.
Carol and Jerry never missed a family event. I will never forget what a great dancer Jerry was. I loved to watch Carol and him dance but I really wanted to be the one dancing with him.
Jerry fought a hard, tough battle the last 13 months of his life.
Till we meet again. Remember I was and always will be proud to call you, my brother.

Even though we did not talk to Jerry often, we still remained friends throughout the years. If plumbing or trailer advice was needed, we were always there for each other. The snowplowing and work memories and definitely the grandkids’ stories would flow non-stop!
TRUE FRIENDS pick up right where they left off! Thank you, Jerry, for being a true friend; you will be forever in our hearts!

Mark my kids and I have many memories with this great guy and his family! We hung out almost every weekend in the summer with him and his family enjoying boating, bomb fires and Sunday dinners ! He was a great guy inside and out and would do anything for anyone at any time no matter what he was doing. Back in the day when he was working, he and Mark would share plumbing stories and hunting stories at Warren Creek Hunt club .He sure did know a lot about plumbing and the outdoors .He was just an all around great guy! He will truly be missed, and we loved him very much!❤️. Here is a picture of the guys up at the Warren Creek Hunt Club.

Today the world got a little quieter. We lost one of the greatest men I’ve had the honor to call my Father-in-law for the last 25 years. He was the life of the party, a friend to everyone, the greatest dad and grandpa, and the #1 “Dad” joke teller! I will cherish all the memories I have with him for the rest of my life, but the one I will cherish the most comes from the worst day and greatest day I have experienced…the day he saved my daughters life, Faith is here on this earth today because of him…you could say he saved both of our lives that day! He was the best big brother anybody would be proud to have!! He was always working on his cars and driving them up and down woodward. We lost our dad too young and at the worst time of the year,Christmas. I’m not sure but I’m guessing he and Richard and others got all my dad’s Christmas gifts gone from under the Christmas Tree, so we could have Christmas Eve without to much drama to the younger family members!! I will remember Jerry the most for stepping up and saying he would be proud to walk me down the aisle at my wedding, as my surrogate father and dancing with me for the father/daughter dance at the reception.
I loved to watch him and Carol dance at different occasions, they were always such good dancers, I was jealous of how coordinated they moved to the music!!
I will miss not having him down the street if we needed extra help with anything- he was always a phone call away. Love and miss you forever.

I have such fond memories of the very early days before Jerry and Carole were married, Bruce and I weren’t married yet either at the time, he and Bruce grew up together, we all became close friends, Carol and I share a home state of Tennessee so that’s a great bond, and pregnancy together. We went our separate ways life taking us in different directions, but they were never forgotten, Jerry is our son Kevin’s godfather, so we’ve told him stories about his grandfather. Coming from a family of our size it’s hard to make everyone feel special. However Uncle Jerry was always great at making you feel special. I am so grateful to of had an uncle like him. I will cherish the memories of him buying me whatever I wanted at the concession stand, the fridge in the shed full of pop and popsicles, my first ride in a classic car, to the exchange of the tomatoes off my salad for his cucumbers on his. Uncle Jerry always showed up if he was asked too. However the best was the unexpected visits we would get. I loved to see his boat pulling up. You will be eternally missed beyond word. One of my favorite uncle Jerry memories is when my house caught fire and he was down visiting Grandma. They came up to help and he helped me chase cats and dogs and round them up into my cars.
