Obituary of Addie June Cassidy

Addie June Cassidy, age 90, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Born on July 2, 1934, in Montrose, Michigan, Addie was the cherished daughter of the late Art and Esther Cassidy. She spent the majority of her life in Burt, Michigan, where she became a beloved member of the community. After dedicating many years to her role at AC Spark Plug, Addie enjoyed a fulfilling retirement, during which she pursued her passions for golf and bowling.

An accomplished athlete, Addie's love for bowling shone brightly throughout her life. She was proudly inducted into the Flint Men's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1988, and she was also honored by the Montrose Sports Community Hall of Fame in 2006 for her exceptional contributions to the sport. 

Addie’s heart was filled with joy whenever she spent time with her great-great-nephews, Haydyn and Domynyk, who brought immeasurable happiness to her life. Her nurturing spirit extended to her entire family, including her great-niece, Meagen Gunneson, alongside her great-nephew, Stetson Spillers, great-niece, Katie McInerney and niece, Mary Cassidy. Addie is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will deeply miss her.

A lifelong member of the Burt Fellowship Church, Addie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her in her relationships and endeavors. She was predeceased by five brothers, one sister, two nephews, and one niece - each of whom held a special place in her heart.

A celebration of Addie’s vibrant life will be held at the Burt Fellowship Church at 12799 Nichols Rd, Burt MI 48417 on April 5th from 1 PM to 4 PM. Family and friends are invited to share memories, stories, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
