Obituary of Sharon Mary Moore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Mary Moore, who peacefully left us on March 12, 2025, at the age of 82. She left behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.

She was born in Bay City Michigan, on April 9th, 1942.  Sharon was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.  She touched the lives of many with her resilient spirit, sense of humor, and her unwavering faith. She loved the outdoors, her many pets, reading, gardening, rummage sales, collecting antiques, and studying the Bible.

Left to cherish Sharon’s memory are her four daughters, Shelly (Gary) Kirkbride, Dawn (Darrell) Canell, Wendy (Dave Ronk) Markey, and Shannon (David) Pennel; thirteen grandchildren, Nicole (Brian), Thomas (Diane), Robin (Brian), Douglas, Amber (Jacob), Ashlee, Elizabeth (Jason), Ruth (Melvin), Johannah (Nicolas), Brett (Kayla), Rayce, Karsyn, and Layne; 19 great-grandchildren; brother Lee (Patricia) Michalski, and sister Cathy (William) Rosenberg;  her former spouse and father of her four daughters, Thomas Moore; her cherished friend Diane Rodammer; and many nieces and nephews and other loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and the beautiful memories that will forever be treasured by her family and friends.

Sharon was welcomed in Heaven by parents Anthony and Muriel Michalski, brothers Lawrence, Roger, David, Clifford (Skip), and Anthony Michalski. Along with her beloved fiancé John Walther. 

A celebration of life to honor Sharon will be held on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, at 1 p.m., at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 350 S. River Rd Bay City, MI. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Bay County Humane Society in her memory. 

Our hearts may be broken, but we find peace that she is with her Heavenly Father and cherish the ways she shared her faith and planted the seed of faith in many.
