Obituary of Carol Lynn Shooltz

In Loving Memory of Carol L. Shooltz (Reer)

February 15, 1940 – March 11, 2025

Carol L. Shooltz was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Born in Bay City, Michigan, she made her home in Saginaw, where she filled her life with love, creativity, and family. She had a passion for crafting, puzzles, and gardening, with a deep love for flowers that reflected the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. And, of course, she always had a Pepsi nearby.  

She was a devoted mother to Paulette (William) and Dennis (Patsy), who preceded her in passing, and her surviving son, Craig (Patricia). She was a cherished sister to Thomas Reer and sister-in-law to Theresa Reer.  

Carol was a proud grandmother to Johnathan (Charity), Brian (Tess), Brad (Danielle), Steffani (Alex), Colton, and Joilynn. She also embraced her step-grandchildren, Samuel (Sarah), Victoria (Zachary), and Cody (Kristin), as her own. She was blessed with many great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless joy.  

Carol’s love, kindness, and strength will forever be remembered. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, blooming like the flowers she adored.
