Obituary of Felix Rodriguez Gonzales

Felix "Felo" Rodriguez Gonzalez, a cherished family man, talented musician, and respected community member, passed away peacefully from natural causes on March 23, 2025, in Gladwin, Michigan. Born on August 25, 1933, in Collores Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, Felix lived a vibrant life filled with joy, music, and the love of his extensive family.

Felix, known affectionately as "Felo" to his friends, dedicated many years of his life to General Motors, where his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor were greatly appreciated by his colleagues. Prior to his long-standing career in the automotive industry, he worked tirelessly on farms in Puerto Rico, a testament to his resilience and dedication to providing for his family.

A man of many passions, Felix found solace and happiness in the strumming of his guitar and cuatro, instruments that echoed his love for Puerto Rican folk music. His musical talents were often the centerpiece of family gatherings, where his performances were met with smiles and applause. Felix's love for his roosters and chickens was well-known, as he cared for them with the same kindness and thoughtfulness that he extended to everyone around him.

Felix's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his four daughters, Madelyn, Brenda, Greichy, and Estrella Rodriguez, and his granddaughter, who was like a daughter to him, Madelyn (Mimi). His spirit also lives on through his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was a beloved brother to five sisters and two brothers, and he held dear the memory of his one sister and three daughters who preceded him in death.

Those who knew Felix will remember him as a loving father and a kind-hearted man who always thought of others before himself. His generosity and warmth touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered. His presence was a source of comfort and joy, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
