Obituary of Kristi Marie Grinnell

Kristi Marie Grinnell of Morrice passed away on March 24, 2025 at the age of 56. in Flint, MI. She was born in Owosso, MI on December 14, 1968 to the late H. Gene and Gilbert Grinnell. Kristi was a 1987 graduate of Morrice High School. Kristi attended Ross Medical School and later was employed by McDonalds in Perry for 35 years where she made many friends, both two and four legged, at the drive thru window. Kristi kept statistics for various Morrice sports teams, especially the football team for 25 years. She watched many plays with friends each summer at the Barn Theater in Augusta, MI.  Kristi enjoyed watching NASCAR as well.

She is survived by her brother Scott, "fur" niece Gracie and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kristi was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Laura. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 12, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 509 N. Main St. Morrice, MI 48857. Monsignor George Michalek will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Faith Formation Center across from the parish hall from 5-8 pm on April 11, 2025 and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions in Kristi's name to Morrice Area Schools Football or the Shiawassee County Humane Society.
