Obituary of David Paul Nowak

David Paul Nowak, a loving father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Midland, MI, on March 22, 2025. Born on April 3, 1953, in Bay City, MI, David's journey through life was marked by his loving nature, thoughtfulness, and friendly demeanor that endeared him to all who knew him.

A proud graduate of Midland High School, David went on to establish a fulfilling career as a Jouneyman Millwright for Dow Chemical, where he was not only respected for his work ethic but also for his camaraderie and dedication.

Above all, David cherished the time spent with his friends and family. His role as a father to his children, Benjamin (Kylie), Brandon, and Brett (Maegan), was one he held with immense pride. The legacy of his kind-hearted spirit lives on through his grandchildren, Rees and Caroline, who will remember their grandfather for his warmth and gentle guidance.

David's passions painted the picture of a man who loved life's simple pleasures. He had an enduring love for vintage cars and car shows; showcasing his fully restored 1955 Pontiac Chieftain Wagon. He also loved spending time and going on drives with his beloved dog Charli, whom David never left behind. Camping trips were another common escape, allowing him to spend time with family and immerse himself in the tranquility of nature. He also enjoyed being on the water and loved to fish, often found casting a line in Lake 13.

David is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Daniel (Linda), Kathy (Steve), and Bernadette (Dave); brother-in-law, Clarence; and beloved mother of his children, Diana, all of whom find comfort in their memories of David's unwavering support and friendship. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Mary; as well as his siblings, Carol, Therese, Mary, and Richard, with whom he is now joyfully reunited.

David's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of human connection. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will recall a man who approached every day with a smile and left a lasting impact on the hearts of many. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire love and friendship in the lives he touched.
