Obituary of Kenneth Lee Dockett, Jr.
Kenneth Lee Dockett Jr., affectionately known as Kenny to his family and friends, peacefully passed away from natural causes on April 3, 2025, at the age of 68 in Bay City, Michigan. Born on October 1, 1956, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kenny was a source of joy and laughter to everyone who knew him, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Kenny's childhood in Whitmore Lake was marked by the love of his close-knit family. As the cherished son of the late Barbara Morales and Kenneth L. Dockett Sr., Kenny was a beacon of laughter in the lives of those who knew him. Preceded in death by his son, Rolando Lopez, Kenny’s legacy lives on through his beloved daughter, Rebecca Vargas, and her husband, Nicholas, as well as his grandchildren, Ameerah, Andrew, and Leyton, whom he was so proud of.
Survived by his loving siblings Craig Dockett and his wife Marcia, Debi Block and her husband Jeff, Tammie Schultz and her husband Mike. He held the memory of his late sister Tiela Dockett close to his heart. He was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Kenny's journey on earth has concluded, but the impact of his life will continue to resonate. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
