Obituary of David Paul Barill
David Paul Barill from Beaverton, Michigan passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025. David was born on September 1, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Sam Joseph Barill and Florence Bernice Karpiuk (Nikodem).
David is survived by his siblings Pamela (Terry) Chartier, Dennis (Colleen) Barill, SueAnn (Mark) Ayotte, Michael Karpiuk, Jacqueline (Tim) Janson, Diane (Ken) Badrak, Frank (Tammy) Nikodem. He was the Uncle of 16 nieces and nephews and Great Uncle to 19 great nieces and nephews.
David enjoyed raising his animals. Through the years, he cared for birds, cats, dogs, horses, chickens, roosters, and various farm animals.
David graduated from St. Mary’s of Redford in Detroit, Michigan. David was a jack of all trades. He had many jobs working with his hands: building houses, tinkering with cars, electrical work, heating and cooling, and mechanical.
David loved his family, always calling to see how everyone was doing. He loved to hear what activities the kids were up to and how school was going. He had a kind ear for listening and offered advice when he could. He made sure you changed the filter on your furnace on time. David loved his sweets. He will be remembered for eating his dessert before dinner and wondering why others didn’t do the same. Those who knew him best will miss him singing Happy Birthday and ending it with “Boom Boom”. David called everyone “Honey” and would stop to talk to anyone and everyone, especially if that person had an animal with them. His loved ones know he is “more better” now and that he is “cooking with gas”. “So long for now, so long.”
