He was the cherished son of Amanda & Ryan Widrig and Casey Raphael, and the protective older brother to Sean Nelson and Zachary Schaub. His nephew, Oliver Nelson, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, also played significant roles in his life, creating a vibrant tapestry of familial love and support.
In 2014, Casey graduated from Traverse City West High School, leaving behind a trail of fond memories and friendships that would last a lifetime. His passion for working with his hands led him to study and master the concrete trade before transitioning to a fulfilling career in landscaping. Casey's love for the outdoors was not only evident in his professional life but also shone through his personal interests. He possessed an insatiable desire to travel and explore new places, always seeking out the next adventure with a smile on his face and an open heart.
