Obituary of Lynda Kay Gerard

Lynda Kay Gerard (Reinhardt), age 75, passed away on April 11, 2025, in Bay City. Born on February 11, 1950, Lynda spent her early years and completed her high school education at Handy High School.

Lynda was known for her dedication as a cashier, contributing many years of service at Kresge's and later at State Park Distributors. Her work ethic and friendly demeanor were appreciated by all who knew her.

A loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lynda cherished her family above all. She is survived by her husband, Michael Gerard; sons, Michael Gerard Jr. (Laura) and Brian Gerard; daughter, Yvonne Scott (Michael); granddaughter, Alicia Spegel (Louis); grandson, Nick Gerard; great-grandson, Eddie Spegel; and sister-in-law, Barb Reinhardt. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Wayne Reinhardt; sister, Diane Wolfe; sister in law, Connie Kauffman, and her parents, Roy and Ethel Reinhardt.

Lynda's hobbies included ceramics, bowling, bingo, shopping, and visiting casinos, activities that brought her much joy and allowed her to make lasting friendships. She also had a deep love for her dogs, who were a significant part of her life.

A private family gathering will be held to honor Lynda's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude in her memory, supporting a cause she held dear.
