Our beloved father, husband, grandfather, son, and brother, Thomas Placher Sr., passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2025, at the age of 68.
Thomas was born on February 4, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan. A proud Marine Corps veteran who served during the Vietnam War, as well as the Michigan National Guard 1/125 Bravo Company. Thomas lived a life dedicated to service, both to his country and his community. He was honored to serve as Potentate of the Elf Khurafeh Shriners for five years, a role that brought him great pride and allowed him to give back in countless ways.
Thomas is now reunited with the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Cheryl Placher, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his parents.
He will be dearly missed by his children: Thomas (Melissa) Placher Jr., Tanya (Matthew) LaCount, and John Placher; his beloved grandchildren: Ronald, Lily, Tyler, (Sara) Placher, and MollyAnna; his brothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
