Obituary of Daniel Craig Adair

Daniel (Danny) Adair passed away at age 70, on  April  23  2025 at the Saginaw VA Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer and other complications. Per Dan’s wishes a short bedside service was held, a Walk of Honor, with Family, through the halls as other veterans stood by, saluted, and honored him.  A Celebration of Life will be held pending a later date this summer.

Dan was a simple man, who loved being with his family and many friends. He loved to make people laugh and joke around.  He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by Barbara Ziegler, the love of his life and companion for 27 years.  His six siblings:

Charlotte A  Fulco, husband James, Debarah E Telfor, husband Dale,

Timothy J Adair, Veronica S Younk, husband Jacob, Mark S Adair, wife Bonnie, and Rodney P Adair.

He was predeceased by a baby brother, Stephen James, nephew, Jacob Younk Jr, Father John A. Adair and Mother Donna J (Rich) Adair, Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Danny and Barb enjoyed taking road trips, antiquing, walking on the beach, biking and just being together. Sitting on their porch in the summers, They both loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers and plants in their backyard, watching the many birds and butterflies attracted by the blooms.

Danny had a keen interest in military history. He earned degrees in Arts & Science. He joined the Army in 1974 and was honorably discharged in 1978. He then joined the National Guard in 1979 and retired from there in 2001.  Danny and Barb met at Walmart years ago and both retired from there.
