Obituary of Kay Ellen Rozek

Beloved Kay Ellen Rozek, who graced this world with her gentle and loving spirit, has been called home to the Lord on the April 26, 2025. She was born on December 22, 1951 in the Bay City, Michigan to the late Virgil and Lucille (Hages) Doriean.

A woman of great faith, Kay walked in the light of the Lord every day, her soul a testament to the power of prayer. She was a beacon of love and gentleness in her community, touching the lives of all who knew her. A high school graduate, Kay was a lifelong learner of the Word and the world, her prayer book a constant companion.

Each day, she found solace and strength in praying the rosary, her devotion a shining example of unwavering piety. The melodic strains of Irish folk music often filled her home, a harmonious backdrop to her daily reflections. Her heart, always in tune with the rhythms of faith and love, beat to the cadence of traditional melodies.

Kay is survived by her devoted husband, George Rozek, and their loving daughter, Laura M. Rozek, of Bad Axe, Michigan. She was predeceased by her infant son, Virgil Francis Rozek in 1979.

In the words of the beloved Psalmist, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). Kay lived these words, her faith-filled life, a reflection of her belief in the Lord's guidance and provision. She walked through life with the quiet confidence of one who knows she is never alone, her shepherd always by her side.
