Obituary of Ronald Dale Hartel

Ronald Dale Hartel, affectionately known as Ron, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 28, 2025, at Courtney Manor of Bad Axe, at the age of 71. Born on June 8, 1953, in Deckerville, MI, to Delos and Virginia (Moore) Hartel, Ron was a man of great skill and passion. Ron was a member of the Argyle community, where he attended Deckerville Community Schools and developed a lifelong love for the outdoors growing up on the family farm.  He was diverse in many jobs such as a mechanic, farm hand, construction, operating heavy equipment. Ron was able to help others and take care of his family. His interests in gardening, hunting, and fishing were surpassed only by his love for playing cards with friends and family. Ron's passionate nature was evident in every aspect of his life and will be sorely missed.

Ron leaves behind a loving family, including his sister Judy Howe; his son Mark (Tonya) Hartel; son Ron (Michelle) Hartel; daughter Kristie (Jason) Holdwick; and his adored grandchildren Jarrett, Nathenial, Alyson, Nicole, Austin, Tyler, Isabella, Molly (Michael), Bowdy, and Brady. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stase (Cibulskis) Hartel, and four brothers, Willard, Larry, Baby, Gerald, and twin Donald.  A private memorial will be held on April 30, 2025. Ron's legacy will be carried on through the cherished memories held by all who knew him.
