Kara Everts

Obituary of Kara Ann Everts

In Loving Memory of Kara Everts
February 17, 1974 – April 24, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kara Everts, who left this world on April 24, 2025. Kara’s life was one defined by love, laughter, and compassion, and her memory will forever be a light to all who knew her.

Kara was a woman of many passions. She loved the open road and the freedom she found on her motorcycle, always chasing the horizon with the wind at her back. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing — a gift she readily shared, filling every room with music and joy. Her laughter, bright and contagious, could lift the spirit of anyone nearby and will be dearly missed.

Kara also had a deep love for movies, often gathering with family and friends to share stories, adventures, and countless laughs. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her family; through the gift of life donation, Kara continues to help others even after her passing — a true reflection of her giving spirit.

She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Josette and David Everts, and is surely running free across golden fields with Sassy and Howie, her cherished dogs.

Kara leaves behind a family who loved her deeply, her sons, Brett Phillips (with his wife Keeley Phillips and their soon-to-arrive child) and Dylan Baker; her grandson, Arthur Baker; her sister, Renee Aymer and brother-in-law Todd Aymer; her brother, William Everts; her nieces, Erica Aymer and Bailey Everts; and her nephew, Jacen Everts. Kara was especially excited to watch her grandchildren grow up, and will do so from above, as she embraces the next generation with a heart full of an angel’s love.

Though her time here was cut short and has ended, Kara’s spirit, her joyful laugh, and her endless love will continue to live on in each of us. Until we meet again, we will carry her memory in our hearts.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
