Obituary of Deborah Roxanne Spear

Deborah "Debbie" Spear, a beacon of kindness and courage, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on April 30, 2025, in Owosso, MI, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on February 18, 1958, in Salisbury, MD, Debbie was the cherished daughter of Frank Raslich and the late Barbara Raslich. All fortunate enough to know her will profoundly miss her loving spirit and the warmth of her company. 

She is survived by her father, Frank Raslich; her daughter, Nichole (Spear), and son-in-law, Michael Nelson; her son, Kenny, and daughter-in-law, Missy Spear; and her sisters, Vickie Whiteside and Amanda Raslich. Her beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, and David Kelley; Cody and Devin Spear, Bryan, and Corey Nelson; Kaitlynn (Kelley) and Josh Castleman, Jessica Nelson, and Savanna Spear; as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Athena, Brooklynn, Jaxson, Nicholas, Daniel, Alessia, and Hudson. Long-time partner Darion Mallard. Many nieces and nephews. 

A force of pure love, Debbie's life was a testament to the power of family bonds. She rejoiced in the milestones and everyday moments with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each bringing immeasurable joy to her life. Debbie's family was her pride and joy. 

Beyond her family, Debbie's kind and loving nature extended to everyone she encountered. She faced life's challenges, including her battle with cancer, with remarkable courage and unwavering positivity, inspiring those around her. Her resilience and gentle manner left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.

Debbie's life was punctuated by the simple pleasures: her grandchildren's laughter and the quiet moments spent in the company of those she loved.  She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Barbara Raslich, and four sisters, who welcomed her with open arms into eternal peace. The legacy of Debbie's kind heart, her courage in the face of adversity, and her undying love for her family will continue to resonate through generations.
