Norm passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 1st, 2025, at the age of 63 years. He was surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Saginaw, Michigan. Norm was born on March 19th, 1962, in Saginaw, Michigan, and is the son of Sharon Krause and the late Jack Krause. Norm grew up with his sister and brother in Freeland. He graduated from Freeland High School and attended Central Michigan University. Norm was a long-time employee at Meijer where he was a bakery associate. He enjoyed Lions football, music, podcasts, March Madness, traveling, social events/ festivals, and was an avid dog lover. Norm always had a story to tell and brought laughter to everyone he knew. He had a great sense of humor and wit.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon (Schuster) Krause; his sister and her fiance, Karen (Krause) Daly and Mark Dingwell; his brother, Jack Krause; his niece and nephew, Mollie (Daly) Reimus and Keegan Reimus; and long-time friend and soulmate, Amy Bunker. He will also be missed by many cousins, friends, coworkers, and other family. He was predeceased by his father, Jack Krause.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., June 14, 2025, at Freeland Chapel-Cunningham-Taylor, Funeral Homes, Inc., 310 E. Washington Ave., Freeland, MI 48623. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The family will receive friends and family immediately after the service for lunch provided by Meijer at the Freeland United Methodist Church, 205 E. Washington Rd., Freeland, MI 48623.
