Obituary of Robert Juan Willson

Robert Juan "Jack" Willson, a spirited and adventurous soul, passed away on May 5, 2025, due to heart failure. He departed peacefully while leaving in Roscommon, Michigan, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Trenton, Michigan, on May 15, 1946, Jack's zest for life and loving nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Jack's early years were spent in the close-knit community of Belleville, where he attended Lincoln Consolidated High School. His passion for knowledge and a desire to explore the world led him to Eastern Michigan University. Jack, who had a spirited personality and keen intellect, found a home in the field of sales, where he thrived as a consultant, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Throughout his life, Jack's love for the great outdoors was unmistakable. Whether he was casting a line into a tranquil lake or trekking through the woods in pursuit of game, he found solace and joy in nature's embrace. His wanderlust also took him to far-flung destinations, where he immersed himself in many diverse experiences. Jack's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Floribeth Willson, and his sister, Sue Ann Willson, who will forever cherish the memories of his adventurous spirit. He was preceded in death by his father, William John Willson, his mother, Sue D. Burke, and his brother, William John Willson III. Those who knew Jack will remember him as a man who lived life to the fullest, with an infectious enthusiasm that uplifted everyone around him. He approached each day with a loving heart, guided by the words of Helen Keller: "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." Jack's life was indeed a daring adventure, one marked by an unwavering spirit of love and exploration. As we bid farewell to Jack, we reflect on a life well-lived and the joy he brought to our lives. His story is a testament to the power of living with an open heart and a courageous spirit. Jack's memory will continue to inspire us, reminding us to embrace each day with the same passion and love that he shared. The world is a lesser place without Jack's larger-than-life presence, but the echoes of his laughter and the footprints of his adventures remain etched in the hearts of those who loved him. Rest in peace, dear Jack, your journey continues in the stories we tell and the love we carry forward.
