Obituary of Dale Wayne Swinson

Dale Wayne Swinson, age 80, of Linwood, MI passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14, 2025 with his family at his side.  He was born to the late William and Irene Swinson on May 7, 1945 in Gladwin, MI.  Dale married the love of his life, Donna Jean Currie on April 12, 1969 and they shared 56 loving years together.   Dale enjoyed traveling with his wife Donna after retirement and spending Winters in Arizona where his parents Irene and William enjoyed many Winters together.  Summers were always spent back home in Linwood with family, as they were Dales pride and joy.  He was a fan and spent many days watching the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Nascar.  Dale's life was rich with love, laughter, and deep commitment to those he held dear.  Dale is survived by his beloved wife Donna, his daughter Karen (Craig) Frey, his son Kevin (Toni) Swinson, his sisters Dorothy Piotrowski and Joan Hathaway, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Dale is proceeded in death by his father and mother William and Irene Swinson, his brother-in-law Orville Piotrowski and brother-in-law Neil Hathaway. 

Dale had a heart of gold, a smile that could light up the room, and was very devoted to his family.  Dale will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
