Obituary of David Fredrick Fox Butler
David Fredrick Fox Butler of Rose City, Michigan passed away on May 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. David was born on November 11, 1947, to Edward Sherman Butler and Lillian Mae Fox.
David resided at the Villa of Rose City for several years where he was able to keep his privacy and independence while developing special bonds with the staff. Daivd often spoke his mind with honesty. David enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, casino trips, reading and puzzles. David spent time in the Army. When David returned from the service, he attended Barber School in Flint, Michigan. David also was well known for his baking abilities while working at Roo’s Bakery, and IGA (Rosati’s) in Skidway Lake, Michigan, and ADCO Patch paving in Florida.
David is survived by his daughter, Brenda Butler (Rhonda Schick); and Tina White (Bill); his grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Carol Lee Bulter along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and very special friends.
He is preceded by his parents, Edward Sherman Butler and Lillian Mae Fox; siblings, Kenneth Butler, Marlene Holshoe and Carl Butler; and ex-wife, Rose Anders.
