Linda Mary Lyons, 78, of Bentley, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

 

Born in Winchester, Massachusetts on January 2, 1947, Linda carried with her the warmth and wit of her East Coast roots throughout her life. She was preceded in death by two of her sisters and beloved husband, Basil G. Lyons, and together they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and supporting family.

 

Linda is survived by her two cherished sisters, her five sons, and a legacy of care that extended far beyond her immediate family. She was “Mom” to many—whether by blood, bond, or simple kindness—and the lives she touched are countless.

 

She leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each carrying forward a piece of her generous spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love.

 

A gifted embroiderer by trade, Linda’s hands told stories in thread and fabric, much like the life she wove through decades of compassion, resilience, and joy. She found happiness in the simple things: the laughter of her family, a plate of fresh seafood, the serenity of her garden, time with her beloved dogs and the longing for just one more trip to the beach.

 

In accordance with her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held by invitation one year from her passing.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with those you love, plant something beautiful, or savor a moment by the water in her memory.

 

Linda’s love was boundless. Her memory will be, too.
