Obituary of Michael John Kollek

Michael John Kollek, aged 64, passed away on May 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 17, 1961, in the heart of Michigan. His final days were spent in Owosso, MI, under Hospice care surrounded by the love and care of his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter Kaylin Kollek, sisters, Kay Bristley-Mentus (Jack) and Susan Kalisek (Larry), as well as several nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, Theresa and Joseph Kollek, and his brothers, Richard, Daniel, and Kenneth Kollek, with whom he now rests in peace.  A proud graduate of Morrice High, Michael's passion for sports was ignited on the school's fields and courts. Michael's love for the great outdoors extended beyond the sports arena; he also had a love for coon hunting and deer hunter. Michael's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of his family and friends. In honoring Michael's journey, we reflect on the joy he found in the simplicity of life, the excitement of the hunt, and the thrill of the game. Rest in peace, Michael John Kollek.
