Obituary of Priscilla Marie Vinton

Priscilla Marie (Wixson) Vinton, affectionately known as “Sid”, age 77 of Farwell, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, June 10th at Medilodge Nursing Home of Mt. Pleasant. 

Sid was born October 17, 1947, to the late Edward and Clara (Courter) Wixson. 

She is survived and missed by her loving husband Ronald “Jim” Vinton and their children, Lisa (Bob) Irish and Tim (Char) Vinton; five grandchildren, Matthew (Cortney) Irish, Meagan (Ryan) Dawson, Calob (Sieta) Adams, Timmy and Brianna Vinton. Sid was also blessed with nine great grandchildren, Brantley, Emelynn, Connor, Theo and Everleigh Dawson; Adria, Audrey and Ronan Irish, and Analee Adams. 

Sid is fondly remembered by her siblings Marion (Wixson) Ferguson-Wirt and Louis (Fran) Wixson, along with many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her sisters Ethel Boulis and Irma Hockey and her brother Andrew Wixson. 

Words cannot express how grateful the family is to Heartland Hospice and Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant for the care they gave our loved one in her time of need. 

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 1:00pm at The Church of Daniel’s Band, 4832 S. Bard Road, Beaverton, MI 48612. Please join us for a celebration of her life.
