Obituary of Carrie May Scarcliff
Carrie "Kelly" May Scarcliff, a beacon of love and joy, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at the age of 86 in Auburn, MI. Born on January 12, 1939, in Redford Township, MI, Kelly lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Kelly's journey through life was one of enduring love and commitment. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert "Bob" Scarcliff, with whom she shared a beautiful and lasting partnership. Her legacy continues through her daughters, Debra Read of Coleman and Holly Leskinen-Tatarian (John) of Webberville, as well as her adopted grandson, James Lang (Vittoria). Her daughters-in-law, Colleen Read and Becky Scarcliff, also hold dear the memory of Kelly's nurturing spirit.
Though she was preceded in death by her children Rocky (Dale Read), Matt Scarcliff, and Beth Scarcliff, Kelly's memory is cherished by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will forever be inspired by her love and guidance.
Kelly's life was one of active engagement and enjoyment. She was a familiar and beloved figure at the local Senior Center, where she relished the camaraderie of lunchtime, the challenge of games, and the simple pleasure of conversation with the ladies. Her adventurous spirit often led her to the casino, where she indulged in the thrill of chance and the excitement of the atmosphere.
Those who knew Kelly will remember her as the embodiment of love. Her presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She approached life with a gentle heart and a generous spirit, leaving a lasting impact on her community and all who crossed her path.
As we bid farewell to Kelly, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with laughter, joy, and an abundance of love. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched, guiding us with the memory of her unwavering kindness and the strength of her love.
Kelly's journey on this earth may have come to a close, but her story will be told for generations, a testament to a life filled with love and cherished moments. She will be deeply missed, yet her legacy will endure, a comforting presence in the lives of her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Kelly, until we meet again.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
