Obituary of Patricia Luella Moulds

Patricia Luella Moulds, known affectionately as Pat, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 86, in Saginaw, Michigan. Born to John and Grace (Hilts) Veit on November 26, 1938, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Pat was one of ten siblings raised on the family farm. She was raised to embody the virtues of love, selflessness, and humor that would become her hallmark throughout her life.

Pat graduated from Mount Pleasant High School before pursuing a career in healthcare as a Certified Radiology Technician. Her unwavering commitment to her profession and the well-being of others was evident in the compassionate care she provided to patients over the years.

Pat's life was a tapestry woven with the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of Philip Moulds, with whom she shared almost 66 years of cherished memories. Together they raised a family that included their children Penny (David) Darling, Patrice (Michael) Darling, and Paul Moulds. Pat's role as a mother was one she treasured deeply, but it was her evolution into a grandmother and great-grandmother that brought her immeasurable joy. Her grandchildren, Scott (Sara) Darling, Ashley (Eric) Crane, Emily (Matt) Fleischmann, Nicholas Darling, and Austin Darling, and great-grandchildren, Carter, Kenzie, and Colson Crane, Lydia and Amelia Fleischmann, and Nathan Everts, will carry forward the legacy of her kindness and laughter. She is also survived by her sister, Madge Richmond, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Grace; and siblings: Virginia Hovey, Jack Veit, Beverly Morey, Gwen Moyes, Stanley Veit, Garry Veit, Ross Veit, and Karen Knickerbocker; and her beloved dog, "Bud".

Pat's interests were as plentiful as the flowers in the garden she so lovingly tended. She found peace in the simplicity of gardening, the tranquility of bird watching, and the joy of camping and traveling with her family. Her biggest joy was found in the kitchen baking cookies and other treats. Fondly known as the "cookie lady" to many, Pat spent every Christmas season baking cookies for friends, family, coworkers, and even the local Mission. Her kitchen was always full of laughter, baking lessons with the grandkids, and love. The world will not be the same without her delicious cookies.

Those who knew Pat will remember her for her selfless nature. She was the pillar that supported not just her family, but also her friends and community. Her funny anecdotes and ability to find humor in everyday situations lightened the hearts of all around her. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories that will continue to be told by those who loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to resonate through the generations.
