Obituary of Gary Alan Lefkiades, Jr.
Gary Alan Lefkiades, Jr., age 57 of Bay City, MI passed into the arms of Jesus on July 1, 2025, as a result of a heart attack. He was born on March 11, 1968, in Bay City, MI, the first son of Gary A. Lefkiades and Minette M. (Jacques) Lefkiades.
Gary graduated from John Glenn High School in Bay City with the class of 1986. He worked many years in the cable industry, first with Bresnan Communications which became Charter Communications and later at CCI Systems in Iron Mountain, MI. He was exceptionally good at designing and building cable systems and many in the tri-city area were his designs. He was proficient in CAD and self taught in many areas of telecommunications. He had a contracting license and designed and helped build his own log home at Forest Lake in Alger, MI.
Gary was talented in multiple ways. He could design and build anything, cook amazing meals, and had a deep appreciation for music and the arts. He used his technical abilities in the theater growing up and forged strong friendships along the way. He truly lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed many fun times exploring new places. He loved Mackinac Island and boating on Mullett Lake and he spent many summers volunteering at the Ogemaw County Fair. Most of all he loved spending time with those he loved, especially his significant other, Jaime Busby. He created a successful Facebook site to point out upcoming entertainment in the area which has led to friendships with many of those involved in the local entertainment scene, especially the members of Stone Street Revival. He and Jaime never missed a show and would travel anywhere to see them.
Gary is survived by his parents, Gary A. Lefkiades (Nancy Leeds), Minette M. Lefkiades nee Jacques (Thomas Tober); his sister, Erin M. Birdsall (William); his significant other, Jaime Busby; former wife and good friend, Karen Krukowski; aunts and uncles, Gretchen Jacques, Kayleen and Frank Pawloski, Thomas Lefkiades (Nancy Johnson); cousins, Jacqueleen Rayhorn, Alan Pawloski, Megan Lefkiades and Zach Lefkiades and lifelong best friend Mike Cunningham.
