Obituary of Della Mae Kendrick
Della Mae Kendrick
October 4, 1940 – July 1, 2025
Della Mae Kendrick, 84, of Vernon, Michigan, formerly of Big Rock, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on July 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on October 4, 1940, in Big Rock, Della lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering love, and deep devotion to those she held dear. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Della was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Earl Gene Kendrick; her parents, Willie and Callie Harrison; and many beloved brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her five children: Michelle, Donna, Rhonda, Chuck, and Tony; her grandchildren: Justin and Megan, Kelsie, and Carissa; and her great-grandchildren: Kyrin and Parker. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Della found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — wandering the aisles of Walmart or the Salvation Army just to look around, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.
Her warmth, laughter, and loving presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Della’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to honor the joy and love she brought into their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Della by sharing time and love with those closest to you — just as she always did. To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
