Robby Bristow

Obituary of Robby Edward Bristow

Robby Edward Bristow passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 3, 2025, in Midland, MI, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on December 12, 1963, in Bay City, MI, Rob's zest for life and his kind-hearted nature touched everyone he knew during his remarkable 61 years on earth.

Robby grew up in Bay City but spent the last four-plus sober years of his life in Midland, at Washington Woods, surrounded by friends who loved him dearly. Here, he formed a great friendship with Cynthia Lincoln and was working as a handyman and enjoying making new art at Uplift Creative Center.

Preceding him in death are the late Edward and Judith Bristow, Sr., his grandparents, Dorothy and Junior Arnold, as well as Fay Arnold, Junior's second wife, along with Robby’s wife, Kim Bristow.

Robby is leaving behind his sister, Sherrie Anderson, proud uncle of Dennis, nephew Stefhen, great uncle to Landon, Leah, and Niklaus Willet. He also leaves other dear family members, including sister Wendy and niece Natasha.

After finishing high school, Robby committed himself to a career in maintenance, earning a reputation as a reliable and skilled handyman. His work not only supported him financially but also enabled him to build lasting friendships and connections within the community. Robby's colleagues regarded him as someone who could always be counted on to lend a hand or share a smile.

Robby's interests were as vibrant and colorful as his personality. He had a deep appreciation for music, which served as the soundtrack to both the significant and everyday moments of his life. His love for tie-dye showcased his creative spirit, while his fascination with Lego anything but, especially Star Wars went beyond a simple hobby—it was a passion that brought him immense joy and a playful escape.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Robby would describe him as friendly, thoughtful, and undeniably handy. He had a way of making everyone feel at ease, and his thoughtfulness was evident in the small acts of kindness he performed without expecting anything in return. His ability to fix and build was not just a professional skill but a metaphor for his approach to life—seeing potential and beauty in the broken and the ordinary.
