Michael Lynn Frost, a cherished family man, respected union steward, and lover of classic rock and cinema, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 74 in Bay City, Michigan. Born on September 25, 1950, in Gallup, New Mexico, Michael's journey through life was marked by deep affection for his loved ones, a commitment to his work, and a passion for the arts. Raised by his parents, Wanda and Jack O'Dell, Michael developed a strong sense of family and community early on. His brother, Thomas O'Dell, and sister-in-law, K, were an integral part of his life, as were his young niece and nephew, Tamara and Kevin. Michael's own children, Kimberly, future son-in-law William Thomas Tina, and Jenny Frost, were the light of his life, and he was overjoyed to become a grandfather to Lillian Frost. Michael completed his high school education before embarking on a dedicated career with the Michigan Sugar Company of Sebewaing. He served as a union steward, a role that he took very seriously, advocating for his fellow workers' rights and well-being. His tenure at the company spanned two decades, from September 1994 until his retirement in June 2014, reflecting his strong work ethic and loyalty. Beyond his professional life, Michael was known for his love of movies. He made it a tradition to take his family to the theater on weekends, and many of his fondest memories were of family movie nights at home. His passion for classic rock was just as strong, with the music of Jimi Hendrix providing the soundtrack to many gatherings and quiet moments alike.
