In Loving Memory: Diana Lynn Long
Celebrating a Life Well-Lived
Every life is a story, a constellation of moments woven together by laughter, love, and the quiet perseverance of everyday existence.
Diana Long, born on June 14, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan has left this world on July 15, 2025. She was born to her loving parents, Floyd Strait and Carol Strait. Diana was a devoted wife to her beloved spouse, Keith Long, whom she married 38 years ago.
Diana and Keith were blessed with the joy of parenthood and their lives enriched by the presence of their 2 children. Their eldest daughter, Amber McMillin built a life with fiancé Matthew Middaugh, while their son, Joshua Long, found his girlfriend Lauren and who is building a life with. Diana cherished her role as a mother, wife, and grandmother. She showered her children and grandchildren with unconditional love.
Throughout Diana’s life, she was known as being easy-going and simple. She loved the little things and didn’t yearn for anything. Her love of the outdoors grew especially when she got to do the thing that she loved the most, camping and golfing. She loved to camp, as she was a seasonal at Walnut Hills Campground in Durand Michigan. This was her home away from home. She made many friends who became family to her and was so excited to be by their side, no matter what was going on. Diana also, loved to golf. For many years, she was a part of the Guys and Dolls league in Durand Michigan where she would spend time with not only her husband but her best friends, Diane, Jeff, Mary and Phil. In the colder months, she loved to go play bingo at the VFW hall in Durand, Michigan.
Diana’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of not only her immediate family but her cherished grandchildren. Diana adored her 3 grandchildren, Payton, Kynley, and Ora, who brought her immense joy and happiness into her life. Beyond the love she had for her family, she also loved her late dog Lucky and her current dog Copper. Diana was also a fierce friend and loved every minute that she got to be around the people that she loved. The love and laughter from her family, friends, and pets filled her days with warmth and contentment.
Diana was more than just a spouse, mother, and grandmother. She was a sister to one brother Tony and a daughter-in-law to Jane Ross, sister-in-law to Kim Bell (Jim Bell), Ron Long (Deb Long) and Eugene Brewster. She was a pillar of love to all, no matter the distance. Diana’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
May Diana find eternal peace and serenity as she reunites her beloved dog Lucky and grand-pup Katie. She is survived by her husband, Keith Long, daughter, Amber McMillin (Matthew Middaugh), son, Joshua Long (Lauren), mother-in-law Jane Ross, sister-in-law to Kim Bell (Jim Bell), Eugene Brewster, and Ronald Long (Deb Long), brother Tony Strait (Dave), mother and father Floyd Strait and Carol Strait and her three grandchildren; Payton, Kynley, and Ora.
