Obituary of Diann Joy Reil

Diann Joy Reil, age 66, passed away on the morning of July 16, 2025, at her home in Vassar, Michigan.  By her side, her loving partner of 20 years, Al German and her sister Darlene.  She was born on April 5, 1959, in Caro, Michigan, to the late Donald “Jake” and Linda (Miller) Brown. Diann was a 1977 graduate of Vassar High School.  She was a long-time employee of Vassar Golf and Country Club. In more recent years, she worked for her very dear friend, Karen Warner at “Cheeks” Vassar Liquor Bar.  Diann loved to spend time golfing with her father and her friends.  She also was an avid sports fan and loved her Detroit teams.  Diann enjoyed camping, kayaking, and relaxing by a toasty bonfire.  Family barbeques were also a favorite of hers. She had a lifelong passion for reading and relished in the comfort of curling up with a good book.    

She leaves behind a loving family, including her mother, Linda Brown; her siblings, Darleen Kern and Donny Brown; her brother-in-law, Sam Seney; nieces and nephews, Tabitha (John) Mason, Nick (Amanda) Seney, Jesse Kern, Zachary Kern, Eian Brown, and Devin Brown, her loving partner of 20 years, Ellery German; as well as extended family and close friends. 

Preceding her in death, Diann is now reunited with her father, Donald “Jake” Brown; her sister, Debbie Jean Seney; and her brother-in-law, Timothy Kern.     

Her life may have ended but many joyful memories will always be in the hearts of her beloved family and friends.
