Obituary of Delores Jane Dice
Delores “Dee” Dice, age 75, of Midland, Michigan, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away July 18,2025 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was a hardworking, faith-filled woman whose unwavering dedication and love left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Born March 8,1950 to the late Harold and Viola Westendorf, Dee dedicated her life to God and her family. She worked as a nanny, nurse's aide, and anesthesia technician before retiring from MidMichigan Regional Medical Center in Midland. Her dedication was recognized when she earned the Employee of the Month award in October 2011.
A deeply faithful Christian, Dee trusted that the Lord would provide, and he did. She was the matriarch of her family, loving and proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often bragging about them to anyone who would listen.
Dee was quick-witted with a wonderful sense of humor and a funny comeback for every occasion. Her strength and resilience enabled her to overcome any obstacle with grace and determination.
Sunday dinners at “Grandma Dee’s” house became a cherished tradition. Regardless of the number of guests, there was always a delicious meal waiting, and everyone knew they could just show up—no invitation needed. Those gatherings will be dearly missed.
Dee is survived by her children, Dennis (Robin) Dice, Jeff (Tammy) Dice, and Lynette (Scott) Silsby; her grandchildren, Erika Sweetman, Matthew Sweetman, Brittney (Casey) Ellis, Trenton (Naomi) Dice, Zachary (Miranda) Dice, Aaron (Jessie) Dice, Tanner (Angela) Dice, Andrew Kingsbury, Evan Creasman, Landyn Creasman, Caleb Silsby, and Jacob Silsby; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Carl Dice; daughter, Julie Creasman; son-in-law, Dale Creasman; sisters, Sandra Bankey and Karen Wirtz; and brothers-in-law, Ray Sherwood and Todd Wirtz.
Dee is also survived by her brothers, Harold (Julie) Westendorf and Kevin (Pam) Westendorf; her sisters, Myra (Lyle) Saylor and Luann Sherwood; along with many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor her life and legacy.
