Obituary of Victor Castro
Castro, Victor
Midland, MI
(formerly of Saginaw, MI)
Victor passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 60, surrounded by his children at My Michigan Health Medical Center in Midland, Michigan. Victor was born in Saginaw Michigan on December 19, 1964 to the late Lucas Castro of Humaco, of Puerto Rico and San Juanita Quiroz of Saginaw, Michigan.
Victor was an avid Ohio State fan! He loved his Buckeyes. He would constantly get looks or snickers while wearing his Ohio State gear out and about, but with pride, he would always say, “Ohio State is #1.” One thing about Victor is, he was a, “tell it like it is person.” He was also private and would keep to himself but reach out to family to maybe, “ask a question.” His favorite line was, “That sounds like a you problem.” He was very funny and always liked to tease.
Victor worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family. He retired from Dixie Cut Stone as a cutter. Always picking up extra shifts so his children wouldn’t go without. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Godsmack and a lot of other rock bands. He enjoyed walking and although they annoyed him, he loved his grandpups!
He is survived by his loving children, Felicia (Mathew) Draves, Lucas Castro and Gabriella Castro. He is also survived by his brothers, Junior (Lisa) Villegas of Saginaw, MI and Albert Villegas of Saginaw, MI; sisters, Stephanie (Rodrick) Burton of Lorain, OH and Ida Villegas of Long Beach, CA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ana Lewis, Irma Castro, Tracy Castro and Jennifer Villegas; and stepfather, Guadalupe Villegas.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
