Obituary of Kay Ann Garcia
Kay Ann Garcia (Thomas, Coven) of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, with her family at her side.
Born on December 4, 1940, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Clifford Coven and Annabel Coven (Blower).
Kay was a selfless woman, touching the lives of many. She was accepting of people from all walks of life and to know her was an honor and privilege.
With her passing, Kay has already begun her duties as an angel. Wrapping her wings gently around her grandson Jerry Preston Thomas III (Preston).
Kay was a devoted mother to her 5 children, Diana Lynn DeShone, Tania Jean Lewandowski (Daniel), Jerry Preston Thomas Jr. (Deborah VanBuren), Scott Alan Thomas (Carla), and Kristy Kay Garcia-Nelson (Philip Pass). She was also a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Seth Vanston, Sean, Jamie, Stephanie, and Tiffany DeShone; Kayla and Kyle Lewandowski; Kara, Tessa, and Jason Thomas; Scott Swanson, Ethan and Trinity Nelson, Christopher and Julia Pass.
Kay has many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren that she leaves behind.
Kay was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Jerry Preston Thomas Sr., her brother Donald and her two sisters Doris Miller and Donna Duquette.
Cremation has taken place, and an intimate memorial service will take place at a later date.
