Obituary of Kevin Lee Bartz
Kevin Lee Bartz of Midland MI, beloved husband and loving father, passed away after a three-year battle with cancer in the early morning of September 13, 2025, at the age of 59.
Kevin was born on June 25, 1966, in Pontiac Michigan, to George Harold Bartz and Marlene (Granzo) Bartz, the third of four children. Kevin attended Midland High School, graduating in 1985. Following high school, he received his associate's degree in Welding from Delta College. Soon after graduating, he reunited with his long-term girlfriend Kindra Collamer, and they were married in 1998. Together they welcomed three loving children into the world.
Kevin was a devoted father, a lover of classic cars, and a proud Green Bay Packers fan and owner, Go Pack Go! He coached for the Midland Area Youth Football League from 1989 - 2014, including getting the opportunity to coach his son Kollin. He found the most joy with anything regarding football or his children. He always enthusiastically taught others card games and board games, and could often be found watching the game with his brother, or playing chess or euchre with his children.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Kindra (Collamer) Bartz; his children, Kassandra Bartz (Joel Benson), Kayla Bartz, and Kollin Bartz (Ashlyn Meyer); his siblings RaNae Bartz, George Michael Bartz, and Daniel Bartz, his brothers in law Robert Collamer & Ronald Collamer, along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins as well as his “brother from another mother” Robert Manning Kenny; and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
