Obituary of Michael Scott Keller

Michael (Mike) Scott Keller, passed away at home on October 2, 2025, at the age of 63, in his hometown of Saginaw, MI, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 17, 1962, to Susan (Schmidt) Sanchez and Ronald Keller.  

Mike married his wife, Penny Lynn (Daniels) Keller, on October 6, 2001 and they enjoyed 24 years of married life together.

He leaves behind many family members, nephews, nieces, cousins, grandchildren and one great granddaughter.  Mike was especially close to his granddaughters, Chelo, Ruby and Mariah, who showed him the gift of unconditional love when he needed it the most.     

His love for animals was boundless, and Mike became a neighborhood hero to many cats and dogs he rescued over the years. His gentle nature made his home a haven for the many pets he cared for with unwavering dedication. Mike loved to spend hours working in his yard and making it a welcome space for his loved ones to enjoy time spent with family and friends.

To the neighborhood children, he was "Uncle Mike," a title he wore with pride. His door was always open, and he was always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a joke when needed. Mike's sense of humor was a light in any darkness, and his laughter was a melody that will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Described by those who loved him as loving, funny, and friendly, Mike's legacy is one of love and laughter, of friendship freely given and help generously offered. He was a man who knew the value of hard work, the importance of kindness, and the joy of life.

As we say goodbye to Michael Scott Keller, we celebrate a life that, while too short, was lived to the fullest. His spirit, a blend of strength and tenderness, will continue to inspire and guide us. Mike's journey on this earth has ended, but the memories he created, the lives he enriched, and the love he shared will endure forever.
