Obituary of Jeffery Robert Cook

Jeffery Robert Cook, known affectionately as “Jeff” to his friends and family, passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on March 7, 1962, in the serene town of Lake View, Michigan, Jeff grew into a man who embodied the virtues of love, humor, and handiness. He left us peacefully in Bay City, after a battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jeff grew up in Mt. Pleasant, MI and attended Mt. Pleasant High School, where he laid the foundations for a life marked by dedication and hard work. He later spent two decades with Brown Foundation Repair as a Foreman. He was known in the workplace not only for his work ethic but also for his warmth and laughter.

Outside of work, Jeff's life was rich with the joys of family and the great outdoors. He married Barbara in Dec 1978, and together they created a family that included their children, Steve (Stacey) Vogel, Bill (Leslie) Vogel, Kenny (Jenny) Cook, Kami (Jason) Johnson, and Brandon Miles. The family grew to include 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who all cherished their time with him "Hot chicking"

A man of many interests, Jeff was happiest when he was with his family or enjoying the tranquility of fishing, a pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and the simple pleasures of life. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to fix things that made him the go-to handyman.

Jeff will be remembered as a husband, father, and grandfather. His presence was a source of joy and comfort to all who knew him.
