Obituary of Angelia Jean Dalman
Angelia Jean Dalman, known affectionately as Angie by her loved ones, was called home to her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on July 20, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan, Angie lived a life of love, compassion, and a relentless dedication to her family and faith. Her journey on this earth concluded in Grand Ledge, Michigan, where she peacefully passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's, Lewy Body Dementia, and Parkinsonism.
Angie was the beloved daughter of Carl Buck Sr. and the late Dolores Buck. She grew up surrounded by her family, including her late brother Carl Buck Jr., her brothers Will Buck (Becky) and Tim Buck. Her legacy will forever be carried on through her loving children, Mark Dalman (Kim) and Carla Burke (Lance), as well as her adored grandchildren —Montana, Micah (Jonny), Christian, Anna, Darby (Major), Maura, Madden, Peyton, Lance Jr, Reese—and her great-grandchildren, Judah and Kingston, who brought immense joy and pride to her heart.
Angie’s relationship with Christ began at a young age with the support of the ministry of Columbia Road Baptist Church. She was an active member of her Christian community and served her church family in many ways. She loved music and sang in choirs, as well as special music in church services with her children and others.
Angie was a 1971 graduate of Mason High School and continued her education at Grand Rapids Baptist College and Capitol City Baptist Seminary. Her passion for education and her unwavering faith were the cornerstones of her 27 year tenure at Capitol City Baptist School. She was instrumental in starting a craft sale, a carnival, and a silent auction, in addition to founding the school's art program. Her creative spirit touched the lives of countless students, inspiring them to explore their own talents.
Angie's love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was unparalleled. She was a friend to everyone she met, embodying the very essence of hospitality and warmth. Those who had the privilege of knowing Angie would describe her as loving, faith-filled, and full of joy.
A celebration of Angie’s life will be held at 11am, November 1, 2025, at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr., Lansing, MI 48917. Visitation will take place at church prior to the service from 10am until service time. A luncheon will follow the service.
Though we mourn the loss of Angelia Jean Dalman, we are comforted by the knowledge that she now rests in the loving arms of her Creator, free from the earthly bonds that once held her. Angie's memory will forever be cherished, her example followed, and her love felt, until we meet again in the presence of our Lord.
