Obituary of Daniel John Rome

Daniel John Rome, known affectionately as Dan to his friends and family, was a man whose presence was as reassuring as the dawn. Born on May 15, 1971, in the welcoming community of Saginaw, Michigan, Dan's journey on this earth came full circle as he peacefully passed away in the same beloved town on October 19, 2025. His departure, due to complications from pneumonia and septic shock, marked the end of an era of unwavering faith and boundless love.

Dan's life was a testament to the enduring power of spiritual conviction and familial devotion. He was the cherished son of Ilene and Denver Rome, a loving husband to Teresa, and a guiding father to his sons Michael, Joseph, David, and Daniel Rome 2nd, as well as a supportive brother to Rebecca. Dan's family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he extended his paternal warmth to his daughter-in-law, Hope, treating her as his own.

Throughout his career, Dan's work ethic was unparalleled, whether he was behind the wheel of a truck, delivering the morning news, or ensuring the safe transport of those in need of medical care. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his spiritual life and community. Dan's faith was his compass, guiding him through life's storms and into the calm.

Dan was a beacon of generosity and love, and his spirit was infused with an unwavering faith that he eagerly shared with those around him. He understood that the true measure of a man was not in his material possessions but in the richness of his relationships and the depth of his spiritual life. Dan's interests were simple yet profound; he reveled in the joy of his grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent spoiling them with affection. Though his physical presence will be missed, the essence of who Dan will remain forever etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.  A memorial service will be held at 5 pm, October 29, 2025 at the Hyatt Ewald Funeral Home, 700 N.
