David Quirk

Obituary of David Michael Quirk

David Michael Quirk, affectionately known as "Stroker" to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully at home on November 3, 2025, at
the age of 66. Born on July 2, 1959, in Highland Park, Illinois. His parents moved to Flint, Michigan where he grew up and attended school.
After his father passed away his mother Linda married Larry Grinnell.  Years later he moved to Caro, Michigan. Stroker was a man whose
infectious laughter and boundless energy brought joy to all who knew him. He drew his last breath in the serene town of Caro, Michigan,
after a 9 year valiant battle with lung cancer.

Stroker was a devoted husband to his wife, Tracy Quirk, and a loving father to his daughter Heather Quirk (Tom), as well as to his sons,
Michael Quirk and Scott Quirk, who is married to Nikki Quirk. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment
spent with them. The love he had for his family extended to his loyal dog, Chauksau, who was a constant companion throughout his battle with
cancer.

Raised in a family with a legacy in the painting trade, Stroker followed the footsteps of his father and grandfather, honing his
skills at trade school. His career as a painter spanned four decades, during which he applied his expertise in the industrial and commercial
sectors, as well as in house painting. His work was not just a job but a craft he took immense pride in, leaving a splash of his personality
on every project he touched.

An avid motorcyclist, Stroker found solace and freedom on the open road. His passion for riding and working on his motorcycle was only
matched by the love he had for his biking community. Known for his selflessness and handy nature, he formed unbreakable bonds with his
"Brothers and sisters" on two wheels. They will miss his camaraderie and the roar of his bike as he led the pack on countless journeys.

Stroker was a man of many virtues; loving, selfless, and handy are words that barely scratch the surface of his character. His zeal for
life was contagious, and he had the rare ability to uplift others even in their darkest moments. His passing leaves a void that can never be
filled, but the legacy of love and strength he leaves behind will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know him.

As we bid farewell to a soul as vibrant as David Michael "Stroker" Quirk, we celebrate the time we had with him and the countless
memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. His life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and the open road. Ride
on, Stroker, into the sunset of our affection and the dawn of our cherished memories.

Stroker is survived by his step-father, Larry Grinnell; half-sisters, Cindy (Ric) St. Charles and Jalene Trew; step-siblings, Kimberly(Steve) Floyd, and Danny Grinnell, who will fondly remember him for his larger-than-life presence and his ability to fix anything that came his way. His great-aunts, Diane Masty and Jean Quirk, along with his numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; nephew, Chris Quirk and Amanda, also survive him. Each of them carries a piece of Stroker's indomitable spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Almond Quirk; his sister, Cynthia Quirk; his mother, Linda Grinnell; and great-aunt, Carolyn Self.
