Greg was known for his big heart, infectious laugh, and his love for sports. You would find him sitting at his picnic table listening to his music, tinkering in the garage, watching a game, supporting his kids or grandkids at their events, watching Survivor or Amazing Race with his wife, pushing the kids on the swings or helping someone. He was quick to offer a cold beer or food to anyone that entered his home.

Greg was the first one to crack an inappropriate joke. He encouraged everyone to have fun. He and Vicki hosted many poker nights, epic New Year’s Eve parties, and regular nights of record playing pushing the speakers to give all they had followed with dancing and singing in the living room. He loved his 70s Rock and Roll loud with a cold beer to end his long work days.

Greg was a wonderful man who always put his family first. As soon as the grandchildren started to arrive he let everyone know that he loved his kids, but he loved his grandkids more, there was just something different about the grandkids.

Greg was the definition of a good neighbor. He encouraged the kids to use the basketball hoop and swing-set. He was the first to offer a helping hand, unless it involved plumbing! He would remind the kids to be good and stay out of trouble while giving them snacks and candy.

He was a family man. He made all the small things count. From Saturday morning breakfast with dad, to coaching a championship floor hockey team, playing catch or wiffle ball, Sunday drives to get B&C pizza, to showing up to support them in all they did. He loved his wife unconditionally. They built a good life together. They supported each other and never gave up. They would always find a way to make sure everyone had what they needed. They were quite the team.

Greg fought a long battle with early onset dementia. In lieu of flowers, those planning on expressions of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the wishes of the family.
