Obituary of Jack Steven Spiece

Jack S. Spiece of Midland, Michigan, age 73, formerly of Owosso, Michigan, passed away surrounded by family on November 16, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Dementia.

He was preceded in death by parents Minnie Brooks and Lewis Spiece. He is survived by his his wife of 52 years Karen (Burton), his daughter Jodi Wendt of Battle Creek, grandsons Conner and Colin Wendt. His son Jason Spiece, granddaughters Sidney and Audrey Spiece of Woodstock, Georgia. Brothers Larry (Barb) of Waterford, Michigan and Brian (Judy) Spiece of Michigan City, Indiana. Mother-in-Law Helen Burton formerly of Jackson, Michigan, residing in Midland, along with many nieces and nephews.

Jack enjoyed skiing, biking, golfing, hot air balloons, white water rafting in West Virginia and spending time with his family. He spent 4 years with his wife as football booster parents for their son’s University of Toledo Rockets football team. He was employed by Gilbert Commonwealth of Jackson, Michigan for 10 years designing Coal Burning Power Plants and 30 years working as a Civil Structural Designer inside Dow Chemical in Midland. He was loved by all and will truly will be missed.
