Joshua Greene

Obituary of Joshua Mathew Greene

Joshua Mathew Greene, known affectionately as Josh to his loved ones, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, in Kawkawlin, MI, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 1, 1974, in Bay City, MI, Josh's warmth and larger-than-life personality were evident from a young age.

Josh was a pillar of strength and humor for his family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Patricia (Tricia) Greene. Together, they raised a family that was the center of Josh's world: his sons, Cody (Ruth) Greene and Wyatt Greene, his daughter, Tayler (Nick) Bouchard, and his adored grandson, Dennis J. Greene, who lovingly referred to him as "Frog." Josh was also a beloved brother to Alisha Greene and Erick Bellinger. His life was enriched by the love and companionship of his family members, who will miss him dearly.

Josh's life was a testament to his faith as a Christian, which guided him through his life's journey and provided comfort to him and his family during his final days. His sense of humor never waned, and his ability to find laughter in the face of adversity was one of his most admirable traits. Josh was the kind of person who could fix anything with his handy skills, and he often found himself helping others with various projects.

An avid sports enthusiast, Josh's passion for watching football, especially his beloved Detroit Lions, was unmatched. He also enjoyed bowling with his friends, a pastime that combined his love for friendly competition and companionship. Above all, Josh cherished the moments he spent with his family, whether it was a quiet evening at home or a boisterous family gathering.

Josh was preceded in death by his sister Crystal Hatfield, his father Dennis P. Greene, his mother Debra Hatfield, and his stepfather Larry Hatfield. Their memories remained a guiding light in his life, and he spoke of them often with love and reverence.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." Josh lived deeply, with every moment filled with purpose, laughter, and love. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished as a source of joy and inspiration.

Josh's life will be celebrated in a manner befitting the joy he brought to this world. His laughter, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family will be remembered always. As we bid farewell to Joshua Mathew Greene, we take solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to light the way for those he has left behind.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
