Obituary of Mark William Abbe
Mark Abbe, 72, of Saginaw, Michigan passed away November 25, 2025 at his home. He was a devoted husband, father, and a cherished member of his community. A longtime resident of Saginaw, Mark enriched the lives of those around him by sharing his passions and talents. He was a dedicated member of The Mid-Michigan Brass Band and The Classic Legacy Band - playing his trombone and the music he made was not just a hobby for him but a joyful expression of his spirit and love for connection. Mark will be remembered for his kindness, steadfast loyalty to family and friends, and his generous heart. He brought people together through music, through fellowship, and through his example of living with integrity.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Anne Lenhard, his sons, Bryan Abbe and Rob (Heather) Abbe. Siblings James (Alice) Abbe, Mary (Randy) Johnson and his in-laws Thomas Lenhard, Tim (Denise) Lenhard, James Lenhard, Mary (William) Pringle, Kathryn Meronek, Leonard Singer, Cam Rondo, Karen (Mark) Geno, William (Diane) Singer, Paul (Mary) Singer, Joanne (Robert) Blaesser, Michael Singer, John (Sheri) Singer, Laura (Jeff) Johnson, Julie (Chris) Chevela and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased are his parents, Kenneth and Eleanor (Doepker) Abbe, his first wife and mother of his sons Rose (Singer) Abbe, his sister Jean Burke, his parent in-laws William and Shirley Lenhard and William and Rosemary Singer, his in-laws Jon Lenhard, Sue Lenhard and Dennis Boykin, Mike Moretz, Theodore and Michelle Nalazek, Marianne and David Sutter, Beth Rondo, Joanna Singer, and nephew Mark Meronek.
We are grateful for the strength and community Mark found since August 4, 1986, with the amazing men and women within Dr Bob and Bill W. recovery fellowship, and for the kindness he shared with those who walked beside him and for the valued support and compassion.
A Memorial service will be held January 10, 2026 at 2:00pm at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anne Lenhard, who will ensure that contributions are directed to charities that were important to Mark. He is deeply missed, but his memory and legacy, rooted in family, music, service and community will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
