Obituary of Dennis Franz Bootz

Dennis Bootz, age 69, of Au Gres, passed away on November 26, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland, with his beloved wife by his side. Born on August 21, 1956, in Bay City, Michigan, Dennis lived a life rooted in the values of family, nature, and quiet strength.

A proud Michigan native, Dennis pursued higher education at both Michigan State University and Michigan Technological University. His academic journey reflected his dedication to learning and personal growth—qualities that remained with him throughout his life. Dennis married the love of his life, Tammy, on September 10, 1988.

Dennis found great joy being in the outdoors. Whether hunting in the woods or casting a line into a quiet lake, he cherished the peace and connection that nature offered. These passions were more than hobbies; they were integral to who he was. He also deeply valued time spent with his family, creating lasting memories through shared stories and laughter.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Tammy Bootz; his loyal dog, Fletcher; his brother, Dan Bootz; his sister, Elon (Bob) Basgall; and brothers-in-law, Greg (Nancy) Greif, Glenn (Carolyn) Greif, and Tom (Sharon) Greif.
